Improving the Quality of Life for
Disabled and Seriously Ill Children
and their Families

Each week, Israel Special Kids Fund works with over 450 disabled and seriously ill children in 15 hospitals and rehabilitation centers in Israel through our four offices in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Be'er Sheva and Haifa.

We concentrate our efforts on children with chronic illnesses such as muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, kidney dialysis, diabetes, those with genetic diseases and accident and burn victims. Our programs include holiday celebrations, birthday parties, games, videos, computer activities, arts & crafts, storytelling and dreams come true.

Our Big Brother/Sister Program has over 500 volunteers working with children and their families several hours a week to reduce the pressure on the family. It includes regular trips and treats for all the children.

We run exciting 3-7 day tours in Israel and Europe for hundreds of children, dozens of Safari tours, jeep trips, visits to the zoo and to professional shows and sporting events, and we treat 100 mothers to a two-day spa retreat to help them recharge their batteries.

We organize summer camps for over 240 children. With a staff-to-camper ratio of 2:1, the kids have an incredible summer: airplane rides, parasailing, boating, swimming, water parks and amusement parks. Parents are also able to take advantage of some rest and relaxation from their 24/7 schedule caring for their children.

We organize holiday programs, birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvah celebrations, sleep-away camps, trips, tours, hospital recreational activities, "dreams come true" requests, and an extensive big brother/big sister and bikur cholim care project for hundreds of children.

Our highly trained and extremely dedicated staff members are complemented by hundreds of volunteers who devote many hours each week assisting the children.
